Sometimes we can even say that smart phone is a small computer.Obviously, we use smart phone as an entertainment tool. Firstly, smart phone can be used as an audio player. It can provide you the music whenever you want , like everyday in the metro, music is necessary for me. Secondly, a smart phone sometimes can be instead of e-book. Building Positive Relationships in Children Essay
To help your child understand feelings you could do a feeling chart or make a feeling tree in your home. To make a feelings chart just draw out faces with how there expression might be when they are feeling that way an do the expressions yourself when showing them. This will give your child a better understanding of their feelings and how they can express them through facial expressions. For a feeling tree its much the same idea as a feeling card but you just take in a branch from a tree and stick the faces with the expressions on it.this will help a child express themselves when they canââ¬â¢t do it through facial expressions. The Significance of friendship Buy them some books with plenty of colourful pictures with the theme of friendship and them to them.this will help show them how nice it is to have friends and how to make them and keep them. It is only after the age of three that children can incorperate other children into their playtime activities so at around this age ask other parents if they would like to make a playdate for their child and yours n a regular basis.this will get your child used to other childrens company.you can also talk about what they did together at dinner or quiet time alone and encourage them to do it again. Communication and Respect To help your child with communication you need to be a good example to them.talk to them as much as you can about your day and ask how theirs was.even talking about their favourite tv programme would be good as they will be more likely to talk about something that theyââ¬â¢re interested in. To teach them about respect you need to set a good example for this as well. Giving them boundaries will also help and treating them with respect will encourage them to do the same to you. Factors that impact/Motivate children Tou tourself have a major impact on your child.they learn from how you react to situations and other peaople and will use this as a guide for themselves. Also the tv programmes that they watch will make an impact on them and can also motivate them to try new things that they wouldnââ¬â¢t of thought of themselves. .

True Love and Chaos essays
True Love and Chaos essays DIRECTED BY: Stavros Andonis Efthymiou Starring: Miranda Otto Ben Mendelsohn Naveen Andrews Kimberley Davies A GOOD old- fashioned road trip. Old being the word emphasised in this low budgeted movie. True love and Chaos is a long drawn out road trip movie on a very tight budget, leaving no room for any Hollywood special effects or quality scenery. The main problem with a film like this is, that it fails to keep the audience emotionally attached long enough to consider watching any longer. True love and Chaos is set across the lower half of Australia, from Melbourne to Perth. The scenery along this road was very arduous and the long expanse was extremely difficult to hold interest to the viewer. Three mates travel across in search to find Mimis (Miranda Otto) mother and find out who her father is. Mimi is a waitress and part time singer who is having Hanifs (Naveen Andrews) child. Hanif is along for the adventure because of the consequences of his involvement in a drug theft, masterminded by his friend Dean (Noah Taylor). Now of course the reason Dean is there for the ride, is to protect the drugs he has stolen from his brother Jerry (Ben Mendelsohn). Jerry is the psychotic brother to Dean who wants his drugs back and will stop at nothing to ensure their return. To put this bluntly, the movie leads to catastrophe! The only real saviour to this film is Morris (Hugo Weaving) a hard drinking hippy who sings Leonard Cohen songs. Morris joins the pathetic crew on their journey to Perth and with his vulgar drinking habits and his drunken ways, this man is the only reason the film would hold together and keep the viewers attention. True Love And Chaos is a movie you would not choose to view or you would change channels soon after commencement due to its lacklustre appeal. It is very hard to find any emotional attachment t ...

There are many elections that occur in the United States
There are many elections that occur in the United States. In most peoples opinions, the most important election is the presidential election. Although most ordinary people do not overanalyze how they get the information about the candidates during elections, in Thomas E. Pattersons book Out of Order he has proposed the thought that the media provides their election information to the people in an unfair and biased way. I will now explain to you the ways that I disagree and agree with him on different points. Patterson has gone into many different points, but I have chosen the ones that are most important to me, which are how the media directs voters towards one candidate, the amount candidates are quoted, if the media favors the Democrats over the Republicans, the amount the polls are covered, how the media manipulates articles with fighting words, the results of candidates not cooperating with the press, and the true importance of a third party. The de facto premise of todays system is that the media will direct the voters toward a clear understanding of choosing one candidate rather than another.1 There are two parts to this statement. I agree with the part stating that the media directs voters toward one candidate, however I do not agree that this is done to one candidate throughout the entire election. I collected articles between September sixth until September eleventh that clearly directed the positive information to the Democratic candidate, Al Gore. Before the day was over, it was Bush who was having to reinvent himself, after nearly four straight weeks of playing sloppy defense.2 As you can see, this article had completely negative information that was being directed towards the Republican candidate, George Bush. Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore demanded the entertainment industry agree to an immediate cease-fire in the marketing of adult materi...

Denmark, Incest, and Uncertainty in Hamlet
Denmark, Incest, and Uncertainty in Hamlet Shakespeares tragedyà Hamlet has a number ofà major themes, such asà deathà andà revenge, but the play also includes sub-themes, such as the state of Denmark, incest, and uncertainty. With this review, you can better understand the dramas wide range of issues and what they reveal about the characters. The State of Denmark The political and social condition of Denmark is referred to throughout the play, and the ghost is an embodiment of Denmarkââ¬â¢s growing social unrest. This is because the bloodline of the monarchy has been unnaturally disrupted by Claudius, an immoral and power-hungry king. When the play was written, Queen Elizabeth was 60, and there was concern about who would inherit the throne. Mary Queen of Scotsââ¬â¢ son was an heir but would potentially ignite political tensions between Britain and Scotland. Therefore, the state of Denmark in Hamlet could be a reflection of Britainââ¬â¢s own unrest and political problems. Sexuality and Incest in Hamlet Gertrudeââ¬â¢s incestuous relationship with her brother-in-law plagues Hamlet more thanà his fatherââ¬â¢s death. In Act 3, Scene 4, he accuses his mother of living ââ¬Å"In the rank sweat of an enseamed bed, / Stewed in corruption, honeying and making love / Over the nasty sty.â⬠Gertrudes actionsà destroy Hamletââ¬â¢s faith in women, which is perhaps why his feelings toward Ophelia become ambivalent. Yet, Hamlet is not so angered by his uncleââ¬â¢s incestuous behavior. To be clear, incest typically refers to sexual relations between close blood relatives, so while Gertrude and Claudius are related, their romantic relationship does not actually constitute incest. That said, Hamlet disproportionately blames Gertrude for her sexual relationship with Claudius, while overlooking his uncles role in the relationship. Perhaps the reason for this is a combination of womenââ¬â¢s passive role in society and Hamletââ¬â¢s overpowering (maybe even borderline incestuous) passion for his mother. Opheliaââ¬â¢s sexuality is also controlled by the men in her life. Laertes and Polonius are overbearing guardians and insist that she rejects Hamletââ¬â¢s advances, despite her love for him. Clearly, theres a double standard for women where sexuality is concerned. Uncertainty In Hamlet, Shakespeare uses uncertainty more like a dramatic device than a theme. The uncertainties of the unfolding plot are what drive the actions of each character and keep the audience engaged. From the very beginning of the play, the ghost poses a great deal of uncertainty for Hamlet. He (and the audience) are uncertain about the ghostââ¬â¢s purpose. For instance, is it a sign of Denmarkââ¬â¢s socio-political instability, a manifestation of Hamletââ¬â¢s own conscience, an evil spirit provoking him to murder or his fatherââ¬â¢s spirit unable to rest? Hamletââ¬â¢s uncertainty delays him from taking action, whichà ultimately leads to the unnecessary deaths of Polonius, Laertes, Ophelia, Gertrude, Rosencrantz, and Guildenstern. Even at the end of the play, the audience isà left with a feeling of uncertainty when Hamlet bequeaths the throne to the rash and violent Fortinbras. In the closing moments of the drama, Denmarkââ¬â¢s future looks less certain than it did at the beginning. In this way, the play echoes life.

Consequences of Partisan Polarization Research Paper
Consequences of Partisan Polarization - Research Paper Example From this study it is clear that partisan polarization inhibits the building of legislative coalitions, resulting to legislative gridlock. Partisan polarization is ideologically biased, and this negatively affects social and economic policies. Partisan polarization negatively affects the efficient operations of government offices making the government incur many costs. Partisan polarization has changed the equilibrium of powers among national institutions at the expense of the Congress. Judges and executives are now acting unilaterally without the consent from the legislatures. Partisan polarization has led to an increasing conflict between the Red states and the Blues states. Hence, partisan polarization has almost paralyzed every aspect of the country including political and social aspects, which are the core of government operations and functioning. This report highlights thatà polarization may bring about greater variation in policy. Sometimes, it can produce new policy initiati ves, and then roll these new policies back. However, there exists a dispersion in the policy-making system in America, which makes it theoretically reasonable to believe that the central effect of polarization result in less public policy.à Systems of bicameralism and power separation need an extraordinary level of consensus to vote for a new legislation. Therefore, the systems quite often require that the enacting coalitions be bipartisan. Experts have used two theories to explain patterns in significant legislation in the post-war period.Ã
The Technology of Netflix Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
The Technology of Netflix - Research Paper Example There are not many companies properly involved in the online renting of movies. Moreover, Netflix plays by keeping its cost low as it tries to attract customers to frequently use its services instead of getting movies from stores or going to cinemas. Analysts believe that Netflix is now facing a tough competition in the face of other companies such as Amazon and Apple, which have also started to provide online movie services at an affordable rate. Furthermore, the cost differentiation strategy used by Netflix has been pretty successful is retaining ââ¬Å"frequent watchersâ⬠who use the service frequently. Alongside, the companyââ¬â¢s differentiation strategy has allowed it to get accessed by customers who avoid going to stores and want to watch movies from the comfort of their homes. Porterââ¬â¢s Five Forces model was discovered in 1979 by Mr. Michael E. Porter of Harvard Business School. This model is used to give five factors that can be used to determine the stage of rivalry within a business. This would subsequently be used to determine the attractiveness of a market. Market attractiveness can be understood in terms of the overall profit levels achieved by an industry. To start off, Porterââ¬â¢s Five Forces model consists of the following five forces, namely threat of new entrants, bargaining power of suppliers, bargaining power of customers, the threat of substitutes and competitive rivalry in an industry. The application of each of these factors to Netflix will now be done to show how this business model works. The easier it is for new corporations to come into in the same business line as Netflix, the tougher would the competitive environment be. For any competitor to start up an online movie rental company, it would require enormous sums of money. Considering the amount of investments that would need to be made in setting contracts
